Qi Gong

Qigong (“chee-GONG”) often referred to as Chinese yoga, is an ancient practice of moving and cultivating energy. When we begin practising qigong we learn how to balance internal energy to heal ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. When we move in a slow, rhythmic fashion while focusing on breathing, we begin healing on all levels since healing can’t take place when we’re restless, stressed, or fearful. Each qigong movement is meditation in motion, and a seated meditation begins each class similar to yoga. Qi means energy, vitality, life force, and gong means work or to cultivate, so a literal translation of qigong is energy workout or cultivating energy. We will be learning several warm up exercises called silk reeling, and a set of 18 movements called Sibashi 1. In Sibashi 1 each movement is repeated 6 to 12 times to achieve a flowing state. The beauty of qigong is that it can be done seated or standing and anyone may take classes regardless of physical challenges.


Art Therapy: Healing with Mandala Workshop

Please join us for this workshop of creativity and relaxation as we practice stillness together while working personally on creating our own unique mandalas. The word ‘mandala’ is translated from Sanskrit as ‘circle’, and it has a deep spiritual meaning and representation of wholeness. Mandalas have been used throughout the world for self-expression, spiritual transformation, and personal growth. During the Mandala Workshop we will be creating our own unique mandala by connecting to our intuitive and intellectual self. With awareness of our own feelings, we can help the stress of the outside world melt away. This joyful workshop is open to everyone! No previous experience is required.


Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props encourages relaxation and release of muscular tension. Ultimately stress-busting and calming. What a brilliant way to begin your week!


100% refund if cancellation notice is received 30 days prior to training. Absolutely no refunds after this time. A credit will be issued for a future training if notice is received after this time. Any credit must be used within one year from the date of the original workshop. Registration fee is non-transferable.
