These carefully selected workshops are geared towards anyone who is looking to increase their understanding and ongoing knowledge of advanced yoga theory, philosophy and practice. All workshops are suitable for both teachers and students alike. All workshops will be held at our studio in Toronto.

Pilates Mat Class

Tuesdays at 6:00 pm (regular scheduled class)
with Tracy Pearce, CYT, CFT

In this class we will focus on moving the body mindfully and smoothly. With correct pelvic and spinal alignment a series of progressive exercise sequences will be taught, that condition the whole body. Pilates strengthens your “core” – the centre of the body which includes all the muscles that attach to your spine - so it’s more than just your abdominals! Strengthening the deep abdominal muscles closest to the spine enables more functional movement of the hips and shoulders. Build strength in the whole body, thereby increasing range of motion and flexibility. You will leave class feeling stronger, longer and able to move more freely!

Tuesdays 12-1pm (July 4-25)
Saturdays 1-2pm (August 6-27)

If you have ever wondered about Yoga, or if you'd like to participate in a class but don't know where to begin, this 8-week session is designed just for you! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of yoga with other true beginners in a small group setting . An experienced instructor will guide you through the postures and breathing techniques.

Inversion Poses Technique Workshop

Master the basic inverted poses of yoga! Learn precise, safe and effective step by step techniques as to how to enter, stay in and leave the pose. The inverted poses of yoga are cooling, and most beneficial for bringing a new blood flow to the face and brain. They are often said to be anti-ageing.
Poses that we will explore are:
•    Setu Bandha – Bridge
•    Urdhva Dhanurasana – Wheel
•    Halasana – Plough
•    Salamba Sarvangasana – Shoulder Stand
•    Sirsasana – Head Stand   …. and more!        
This workshop welcomes curious yogis as well as yoga teachers.
