250 Hour Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training
Our Yoga Teacher Training School is approved
as a Registered Yoga School with the International Yoga Alliance
at the 200 hour level!

Applications being
accepted for September 2009-2010. This course is going on
sabbatical for a year! And will be offered again for the 2009-2010
term.
This program consists of the 100 Hour Yoga Teacher
Training Intensive which includes an in-depth active practice
and study of asanas, with an emphasis on preparing the seasoned
yoga practitioner/fitness instructor for yoga instruction.
There will be an extensive study of the techniques and mechanics
of each pose, including:
- precise physical alignment in poses
- lines of energy, edges, proper use of breath
- learning to see and understand bodies
- how to adapt poses to suit different needs
- breakdown of poses with hand-on adjustments
- prevention and treatment of injuries
- philosophy and styles of yoga
- home assignments, practice teaching and more
In addition to the above 100 hour training (Module
1), there are an additional 13 modules to be taken at Maureen
Rae's Yoga Studio in Toronto. Upon completion of all modules,
the student may apply to Yoga Alliance for RYT (Registered
Yoga Teacher) status. Restricted to 10 students annually.
