All of our classes are taught in the Vinyasa Flow Method. Beginners are welcome at all classes. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a beautiful style of yoga taught in a flowing manner – poses are connected with breath. Precise alignment cues are given while modifications are offered for different body types and levels of ability. Options are always provided.
Yoga I offers fundamental postures. Basic yoga lass for those just beginning, or for anyone wishing a lighter intensity.
Yoga II. This class works towards slightly more challenging sequences and postures.
Gentle Yoga and Slow Yoga. Relaxing, healing and calming. Increase flexibility and mobility. Soothe your body. Calm your mind! Great for seniors or for anyone!
Pilates Mat Class. In this class we will focus on thoughtfully moving the body smoothly with correct pelvic and spinal alignment through a series of progressive exercise sequences that condition the whole body. Pilates strengthens your “core” or centre of the body. Your "core", which includes all the muscles that attach to the spine, is more than just your abdominals! Strengthening the deep abdominal muscles closest to the spine enables more functional movement of the hips and shoulders. Building strength in the whole body increases range of motion and flexibility. You will leave class feeling stronger, longer and able to move more freely.
Mo’s Flows. Maureen is known for her eclectic, inventive and humorous style of teaching yoga,attuning to the energy in the room and to the needs of the students, Expect postures, breath, meditation and an honouring of the Self.
Yin Yoga is a quiet and insightful practice comprised mainly of seated and lying postures. Breathwork and meditation are woven into the class to bring about a very deep, integrated and satisfying practice. Yin postures target the tightest areas of the body – low back, hips, hamstrings, chest and shoulders. The approach is gentle. The results are amazing!
T’ai Chi and QiGong are peaceful movement practices that have been around for thousands of years. They bring about health and balance on every level, ease into the joints and, at the same time, strengthening muscle and bone. And importantly…quieting the mind. Please stay afterward – or join us only for Group Meditation at 10:00am. You may be seated on a mat, lie down or sit in a chair.
The studio is open 30 minutes before and after classes. Please come 10 minutes early for class. If you are late for class, you are welcome to join after the opening meditation.
- We are located west of Kipling, and close to the Kipling subway station.
- Limited parking is available on our lot. Street parking is available on Ovida and Downing Avenues, located just behind the studio.
- A community parking lot is located one short block west of the studio, just north of Dundas St. W at Shaver.
