Vinyasa Flow Yoga
All of our Yoga classes are taught in the Vinyasa Flow style. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.”
The teacher will lead you in the movement from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. Poses flow together in a smooth way to calm the mind and steady the breath. Each movement in the series is done on an inhalation or an exhalation.
What To Expect From a Vinyasa Class
We begin with a centering and quieting posture, along with a meditation. This style will almost certainly include Sun Salutations and intelligently selected poses to open the front of the body, the back, and the sides. Forward bends, twists, and gentle backbends along with an inverted posture round out the class. Each class finishes with Savasana – Corpse Pose (the most difficult pose of all!)

Yin + Yang Yoga is a practice which combines both passive and active asanas with pranayama and meditation into a very deep, integrated and satisfying practice. We begin with sun salutations to warm up along with more active (Yang) poses to move energy with heat. The Yin postures follow - still and quiet - meditative. They are mostly seated postures which are held for a period of 3 - 5 minutes. Yin targets the connective tissue of the body for a very deep stretch. Yin is a practice that is currently very popular in the US with every level of yogi
