Module 2

Module 2 consists of a 2-day training that builds on the knowledge and skills introduced in Module 1.

Focus will be on advanced sequencing, flow, modifications, adding and decreasing intensity, verbal alignment, class presentation skills, class control, use of voice, hands on adjustment, and more.

Additionally, prior to the weekend of Module 2, the student will be assigned two poses which he/she will be required to present during the second day of the training. In addition, students will be required to present submit three written assignments based on the Module 1 manual and additional readings. These assignments will be given after registering for Module 2. Together, these two requirements will ensure that teachers graduating from this program have incorporated the knowledge, and demonstrated the skills necessary to qualify for Fast Track Fitness Yoga Teacher Certification.

Prerequisites: Module 1
CPR (Proof Required)
Documentation of 25 Hours of Teaching Yoga provided after the completion of Module 1

NEW REGISTRATION GUIDELINES FOR MODULE 2 OF THE FAST TRACK FITNESS YOGA TEACHER CERTIFICATION - A 4-DAY CONDENSED TRAINING

Previously in past years, there have been a number of necessary pre-
requisites for students who wish to apply for Module 2 Certification.

  • Module 1
  • Completion of 25 Hours of Teaching Yoga
  • Completion of Written Assignments as assigned at time of registration
  • Current CPR

These requirements have necessitated there being a period of time
between Module 1 and Module 2 in order to accumulate 25 teaching hours.
While this is still the ideal, we realize that many instructors travel a great
distance to study with us, and we have recently had many requests from
students who wish to take both Module 1 and Module 2 in back-to-back
trainings, (over 4 consecutive days) instead of waiting to accumulate the
25 Hours of Teaching Yoga between Module 1 and Module 2. This suggestion
has been under review for some time. We are happy to announce that we
have designed a new program that would allow for instructors to complete
both components of the Fast Track Teacher Training by one or two methods:

A. the traditional method, over 2 weekends separated by at least 6
months ….or…….
B. by a condensed 4-day Certification (Module 1 and Module 2 over 4
consecutive days

The new guidelines for completing Module 2 (The Certification Module),
in a condensed 4-day consecutive time period are:

  1. Acceptance into Module 2 is by application only. It will be necessary
to complete the application form, and to have it reviewed before we can
    confirm registration.

  2. The Written Assignments may be completed and handed in on the first day of the training, or you may submit it at the same time as your video. (Maximum of one year following in-class portion Module 2.)

  3. Certification is subject to our receiving proof of current CPR.

  4. Certification is subject to our receipt of a video of the applicant
teaching an assigned yoga sequence. This video must be submitted within
a period of up to one year after the completion of Module 2.

  5. Certification is subject to written documentation of the 25 Hours of
Teaching Yoga. (A club manager, or supervisor’s signature.)

  6. Upon successful completion of the above criteria, the instructor will
be eligible for Fast Track Fitness Yoga Teacher Certification.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all. We are happy to
correspond by email (info@mraesyogastudio.com) or direct phone 416-
    716-7859.

NEW!!!! Continuing Education Workshop

THE TIMELESS TEACHINGS OF YOGA - THE SUBTLE TOOLS.
Presented By Maureen Rae's Yoga Studio

For teachers and serious students of yoga. Go beyond alignment and precision. Acquire new skills that are based on the ancient yogic wisdom that the body already possesses innate capability to heal - and that the spirit knows intuitively how to transform. Discover remarkable, but little known, practices drawn from the Viniyoga lineage of yoga including asana, chant, pranayama, meditation, mudra, trataka, visualization, profound relaxation and prayer. Topics include yoga for older adults, injured and rehabilitating modifications, those confined to chairs, clients with depression, hypertension, anxiety, cancer, and more!

New dates will be posted here shortly.

No pre-requisites required. This program is for ALL yoga teachers and for serious students of yoga. This 2-day Intensive provides a unique opportunity for teachers of yoga, and for serious students of yoga, to go beyond the basics of hatha yoga classes and to move into specialty areas. Teachers will learn how to lead classes for older adults, injured or ill students, rehabilitating students, those confined to chairs and for those suffering from depression.

Acquire new skills that are based on the ancient yogic wisdom that the body already possesses innate capability to heal – and that the spirit knows intuitively how to transform.

Discover remarkable, but little known, practices drawn from the Viniyoga lineage of yoga including asana, chant, pranayama, meditation, trataka, visualization, profound relaxation and prayer.

Move beyond alignment, precise technique, definitive instruction, rules and regulations that determine the typical aggressive North American approach to yoga classes. Reach out to the masses who are searching for relief and release from suffering. Yoga has a multitude of applications, most of which are overlooked in our ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Our bodies do age and become worn with disease, stress or illness. Yoga is needed more than ever before at this time. Thousands upon thousands of people could be helped with yoga – if only someone – you! – could show them the way.

A HUGE MANUAL WITH CLASS CHOREOGRAPHY NOTES INCLUDED!

Here’s what one yogini who attended the Winnipeg Timeless Teachings in our inaugural Winnipeg workshop had to say…

Maureen…just wanted to let you know that i have had a huge, overwhelming positive response to my classes this week. Last night was unbelievable. These people have been with me since I began and have watched me grow as an instructor; students came up to me after class and actually were hugging me, and telling me how unbelievable that experience was, that they have never experienced anything like that before and that was the best yoga class they had ever attended...ever.

So thanks for the subtle tools. We only scratched the surface last night, began noticing colors behind our eyelids, used all dynamic poses, focusing on the breath as we moved into, out of and thru each pose several times, and constant cues to "feel" the breath, the body, the energy. I taught the opening as we did in Winnipeg and did some of the deep relaxation and visualization with them. WOW!!!!! And that manual has sooo soooo much more in it. Thank you Maureen. Thank you. I love doing what i do each day, and for having the opportunity to touch peoples’ lives in a positive way by simply doing what I love. Roxanne.
